here’s Your DAy, in more detail…
before your shoot…
• Your session date and time have been reserved just for you.
• If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us immediately.
• Rescheduling will incur a $25 reschedule fee to your credit card held on file.
• Reschedule requests with less than 14 days’ notice, and additional rescheduling requests will incur a $100 reschedule fee.
• Rescheduled dates must be within 60 days of your original session date.
• Session fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Due to the custom nature of our photography services, all sales are final.
• Cancellations within ten days and no-shows will forfeit their entire session fee.
• Be sure to electronically sign the photo contract that will come to you by email.

Preparation Tips:
• Manicures and pedicures are nice for your shoot (does not have to be from a salon) - but is not mandatory. They will show, but will not be the central focus.
• If you desire, eyebrows shaped and having your hair recently trimmed and colored.
• If you like to wax, we recommend waxing a couple of days before your session.
• Stay out of the sun to avoid tan lines and sunburns.
• Avoid exfoliating your face or using any products that contain AHA/BHA for at least 3 days before your shoot.
• For most people, we do NOT recommend getting a spray tan.
• Clean the soles of your shoes – the bottoms of your shoes may show in photos.
• You do NOT need to reschedule your photoshoot if you are on your period.
Day of…
• Arrive on-time w/ your outfits, shoes, accessories & ID.
• Late arrivals may reduce your time in front of the camera.
• Remember, your pamper session lasts up to 4 hours
• Please park in front of the studio, if possible.
• Arrive with a clean face & with your hair already styled and shoot-ready or with clean, dry hair, if hairstyling was included / added on to your session package.
• False lashes are key to getting that super glamorous look in your boudoir photos.
• Feel free to bring inspiration photos to help guide the artist to the look you love.
• Want to do a natural look AND a super glam look at your shoot? Contact us at least 7 days before your session if you would like to add on a second makeup look.
• Make her aware of any allergies, sensitivities or special requests, and feel free to tip her thereafter if you love her work (but absolutely not mandatory).
• Wear loose clothing, as this avoids leaving red indentations on your skin.
• Ideally, wear a top that buttons or zips in the front so that you can change your clothes without messing up your hair &/or makeup.
• Clear deodorant is best.
• Drink plenty of water and eat something light but filling beforehand.
• During &/or after hair and makeup, we will revisit your vision for your shoot.
• No worries about facial or posing guidance. That’s our jam ~ we’ll expertly guide you.
• If any pose hurts or you feel uncomfortable - tell us immediately. All are modifiable.
• Deep breath my friend! You are in great hands and amongst friends.
Choosing the perfect outfit(s) for your photoshoot… No stress allowed…
Think about what you wear that makes you feel your best. If you LOVE a piece in your wardrobe, bring it! If it’s not a fave, leave it.
1. Consider the vibe of your shoot. Is it playful and fun (eg: cute bralette & shorts set), or more sensual and intimate (eg: lace bodysuit)?
2. Fit is crucial ~ Flattering outfit + Comfortability = Success!
Consider shades that complement your skin tone, hair & accessories!!! A pair of killer heels or bold jewelry can elevate your look too.
Plan to Bring At Least One Outfit to Your Photo Shoot
~ Matching Sets (panties with some coverage usually photograph better than G-strings), One Piece Options (Bodysuits or Corsets with built-in cups or those intended to be worn with a bra), Shapewear, Birthday Suit, Shoes, Jewellery, Thigh-Highs are just a few fantastic options.
~ However, the truth is that the photoshoot is more about showcasing you than focusing on what you’re wearing.
~ You don’t have to reveal it all. It’s not about how much skin is showing – it’s about the emotion and body language you convey.
~ Textures! Woven sweaters, lace, beading, metal studs and layers, for example, all photograph beautifully.
~ Black lingerie is always classic & sexy, and rich gem tones, such as turquoise, deep purple, & crimson are universally flattering. Soft pastels offer a more airy & romantic touch.
~ Almost anything can look amazing on camera, so don’t stress if you’re unsure. If you're overwhelmed, feel free to bring a few options and let us help you decide.

Which Collection Best Fits Your Vision?
This is a big decision, I know. and I'm here to chat through all the details with you to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for from your session. The best part? There’s an option that works for everyone!
To keep things simple, I ask that all clients invest in a collection of their choice before their session. You have two options for payment:
We can set up a custom pre-payment plan, breaking the total into smaller payments, with the final payment due 30 days before your session.
Or you can pay in full for at least the minimum collection ($1,750) within 30 days of booking.
You can pay via e-transfer, credit card, or third-party financing through Goddess Boudoir.

Retouching & Photoshopping
At Nicole Ely-Joshi Photography, we believe in the power of real beauty. We’re all about authenticity.
I aim to get 95% of the look I desire with careful posing, lighting and styling choices; Less is more when it comes to editing.
Our tool kit focuses on flattering lighting, natural body language, professional styling and a relaxed, comfortable environment.
For the final 5%, subtle adjustments are made to enhance your natural beauty, and highlight the unique features that make you, you.
Small details, such as stray hairs, blemishes and bruises that don’t usually belong in the picture, are gently retouched to help you shine.
We don’t rely on heavy Photoshop work to make you look amazing. Instead, we focus on capturing your true essence in-camera.
Our philosophy is rooted in realistic beauty retouching.
Retouching should never be obvious—it should be about enhancing, not changing.
Special Requests
Tattoos: If you prefer not to have your tattoos appear in your photos, please bring clothing that covers them.
Tattoo removal is not included in your purchase but can be added for $25 per tattoo per image.
Tan Lines: If you have visible tan lines, sunburns, or streaks from tanning, this is not included in the complimentary retouching.
However, we can remove tan lines for $25 per image.
Custom Retouching: If you have a specific retouching request not covered here, feel free to ask!
Basic requests are included, such as skin smoothing, but more extensive edits may incur a $25 charge per image.
Opting Out of Retouching
We understand that some people prefer to embrace their natural features.
If you don’t want any retouching—whether it’s a birthmark, stretch marks, or anything else—just let us know.
