  • Boudoir photography began in the early 20th century as intimate portraiture captured in private spaces. Originally inspired by the French word boudoir, a woman's private dressing room, it has evolved from intimate portraiture into an empowering experience and art form that celebrates confidence, self-expression and the beauty of every chapter of life.

  • We believe your investment should feel as considered as your experience. Flexible payment plans are available before and after your session, with artwork commissioned once your collection is paid in full.

  • Talk to Me (Nicole): Share any concerns you have. I’m here to help you feel at ease. Prepare Ahead: Lay out your outfits and review any tips given in our Boudoir Guide you’ll receive upon booking your session. Self-Care: Relax with a soothing playlist or a warm bath to centre yourself. Focus on the Experience: Remember, this is about celebrating you, embracing your beauty and loving the authentic you in an atmosphere ready to pamper you. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot makes your moment of “WOW”, during your photo reveal, that much sweeter!

  • There's no expectation to purchase anything new for your session with us. Whether you choose to bring pieces you already love or explore our thoughtfully curated client wardrobe, our focus is on creating photographs that feel authentically you, not on filling your suitcase. Our client wardrobe includes a carefully selected collection of pieces in sizes XS–6X, chosen to flatter a wide range of bodies and styles. Most sessions include three thoughtfully curated looks. If you're deciding between a few favourites, you're welcome to bring additional options; we'll choose them together once you arrive. No stress!

  • Preserve your story with handcrafted heirloom albums, statement wall art, fine art prints, metal and canvas pieces, elegant folio boxes, bi-fold and tri-fold image displays or handcrafted glass blocks…to name a few of the beautifully crafted pieces available. For those who prefer the flexibility of digital images, curated digital collections are also available. Many collections include matching digital images, with additional digital options available to complement any artwork selection. Digital image collections are also available as a standalone offering.

  • Discretion is at the heart of every experience. Your images are kept completely private and will not be shared without your photo-release. Some clients choose to keep their images private, while many others are excited to showcase their gorgeousness in our portfolio and/or social media. You have complete control over your privacy.

  • Not in the slightest. Boudoir is deeply personal, and how much, or how little, you choose to reveal is entirely up to you. The most beautiful images come from feeling comfortable in your own skin, not from revealing more than you'd like. Whether you're fully clothed or embracing implied nudity, every choice is yours, and every pose is guided with intention and care.

  • My approach is rooted in presence over perfection, connection over posing and creating photographs that feel as honest as they are beautiful. Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My approach is calm, intuitive, and deeply personal, creating space for you to feel completely at ease. It's why so many clients leave not only with beautiful photographs, but also return. Many become friends.

  • Our studio is conveniently located in central NW Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We offer boudoir, cozy couples and destination session, both domestically and internationally, bringing the experience to you wherever you are!

  • Light retouching is included, focusing on natural enhancement through flattering light, posing, and subtle refinement. The goal is always to keep you looking like you, at your best.

  • Professional hair and makeup artistry, including expertly applied lashes, is included with all NEJ Signature Boudoir and Cozy Couples experiences (for one client). Promotional sessions include professionally-applied makeup with lashes, with hairstyling available as an additional investment.

  • Choose pieces that make you feel confident, comfortable, and unmistakably yourself. Most sessions include three thoughtfully selected looks, and if you're deciding between favourites, you're always welcome to bring a few extra options. We'll curate them together when you arrive. Whether it's delicate lingerie, an oversized knit, your partner's shirt, or something entirely unexpected, the most meaningful images are created in pieces that feel authentic to you. You're also invited to explore our thoughtfully curated client wardrobe, featuring a beautiful collection of pieces in sizes XS–6X. After booking, you'll receive our How-to-Boudoir guide, filled with styling inspiration, practical tips and a list of favourite boutiques to help you prepare with confidence.
