The idea of a boudoir session can feel a bit intimidating at first. I often hear lots of questions from women curious about what to expect, and I’m here to help! To make things easier, I’ve put together a list of the 12 most frequently asked questions. This guide will give you helpful insight and tips for preparing for your boudoir session with me!
Will My Photos be Shared Publicly?
We take your privacy very seriously. Your photos will never be shared publicly without your photo-release permission. Many clients choose to keep their images private, while others are excited to showcase their gorgeousness in our portfolio and/or social media. The choice is entirely yours!
Do I Have to Wear Lingerie and/or Be Nude for My Session?
Not at all! There are countless ways to exude sensuality, beauty and confidence while being fully-clothed or opting for implied nudity. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and empowered, highlighting your confidence and favourite features, via expert posing guidance, no matter what outfits you choose (or don’t choose) to wear.

3. Do You Offer Payment Plans?
Absolutely! We offer both pre-session and post-session payment plans:
Pre-Session: Pay in instalments before your session, so everything is settled when you arrive. Plus, enjoy bonuses for pre-paying!
Post-Session: Make a down payment on the session day, then pay weekly, bi-weekly or monthly until your selected Collection is fully covered. Your order will be processed once the balance is paid.
4. Is Professional Hair and Makeup Included?
Professionally-applied makeup is included with all full-paying boudoir and cozy couples sessions (one-client only). Hairstyling is available for an additional fee, though many clients prefer to style their own or visit their stylist. For discounted sessions, hair and makeup depend on the promotion but can always be added if desired.

5. Do You Photoshop My Images?
Yes, I make minor adjustments like exposure, colour balance and minor skin retouching, but I aim to minimize Photoshop use. Boudoir is about embracing who you are in this moment. I’ll use expert lighting and posing guidance to highlight your most flattering angles, ideally minimizing the use of photoshop. Your only job is to relax and enjoy the process!
6. Where Should I Buy Outfits?
There’s no need to feel pressured to purchase new outfits for your upcoming session with me. If you’re excited to shop for a few boudoir-specific pieces, that’s perfectly fine, but there’s no need to splurge. My studio offers a curated client closet with outfits ranging in size from XS to 6X, ensuring options for everyone. If you’d like to explore additional pieces, I recommend checking out Knickers 'n Lace, La Senza, or Victoria’s Secret.

7. What kinds of print products do you offer?
We offer a stunning selection of luxury print products to showcase your boudoir session. Choose from elegant albums, leather portfolio boxes and a variety of print styles, including mounted prints, canvas, metal, and acrylic options. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of holding a beautifully crafted printed piece in your hands. Flipping through the pages or admiring your matted images serves as a lasting reminder of your brilliance. Each piece captures the confidence and joy you felt during your session, bringing you right back to that empowering moment when you walked out with an extra pep in your step.
8. Do You Offer Digitals?
Our higher-end packages include digital copies of all images featured in your album or folio. With our top-tier collection, you’ll receive all the digital images from your luxe session. There, of course, is always the option to add digital files to your order, or to purchase solely a Digital Collection.
While digital files are convenient, they often end up sitting in a folder, rarely printed or fully enjoyed. Although a few may make it to your social media feed, there’s something truly special about tangible prints; holding them, displaying them and reliving the experience every time you see them. Let’s create something you can cherish beyond the screen!

9. I’m Nervous! How Can I Feel More at Ease?
Feeling nervous before your boudoir shoot is totally normal! Here are a few ways to calm those nerves:
~ Talk to Me (Nicole): Share any concerns you have. I’m here to help you feel at ease.
~ Prepare Ahead: Lay out your outfits and review any tips given in our Boudoir Guide.
~ Self-Care: Relax with a soothing playlist or a warm bath to center yourself.
~ Focus on the Experience: Remember, this is about celebrating you, embracing your beauty and loving the authentic you in an atmosphere ready to pamper you.
The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot makes your moment of “WOW”, during your photo reveal, that much sweeter!
10. How Many Outfits Should I Bring?
Typically, we’ll go through three outfits during your session. If you’re unsure or can’t decide, feel free to bring extra options. I'll be happy to help you choose the perfect ones when you arrive! No worries!

11. Should I arrive early for my session?
Plan to arrive about 10 minutes early for your shoot. This gives us time to chat about your outfit choices and get everything set for your luxe boudoir experience, starting with our professional makeup and/or hairstyling session.
12. Where is Your Studio Located?
Our studio is conveniently located in central NW Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We offer boudoir, cozy couples and elopements, both domestically and internationally, bringing the experience to you wherever you are!
